Afghan Hound

Bio

This elegant, athletic sight-hound was originally developed as a hunting dog in the Middle East, and is sometimes called the King of Dogs. Afghans can be energetic, playful dogs, but like most hounds, this comes in bursts. They are aloof and independent but should be totally sane, and like all sighthounds are harder to train to be "obedient". Not for everyone, the long coats take constant grooming but many pets are simply kept clipped off once a year.
